@alanna: It was Joe Fafard (awesome last name, don't you think?). The gallery owns this piece, so it was the only one on display (i.e. it wasn't a Fafard exhibit). Of all the pieces we saw that day it was my favourite - I would love to see more of his work.
We saw this excellent exhibit in Vancouver a few years ago...what's the artist's name again? It's on the tip of my tongue.
